Make the booking sites follow Daybook's calendar

So a night you block in Daybook is blocked on every site.

Why this mattersDaybook only reads your calendars; it never changes anything on Airbnb, Vrbo or Booking.com. It does make one calendar link for each place, carrying every booking it knows about and every night you block in Daybook. When a site imports that link, it blocks those nights itself.

What you need

Your board, and the calendar settings on each booking site. A computer makes the pasting easier.

Space for a short video or a screenshot: copying Daybook's calendar link from Settings and pasting it into a site's calendar import.

Steps

  1. Copy the link. On your board tap Settings, then your place. Under Daybook's calendar for this place, tap Show the link. It says Copied. Paste it into each site.
  2. Paste it into each site. On each booking site, find this place's calendar import and paste the link there. On Airbnb it is under Availability, then Import calendar.
  3. Tell Daybook it's done. Back on Today, at the bottom under Setup, each site has a line such as Vrbo: confirm it imports Daybook's calendar for your place. Tap it and tick Done, Vrbo imports it ✓.

Why this mattersVrbo and Booking.com don't show what they've imported, so Daybook can't check them for you. That is why it asks you to confirm each one once.

What happens next

  • A night you block in Daybook (tap an empty night, then Block this night) goes onto the link.
  • Each site blocks it the next time it reads the link, usually within a few hours.
  • If Airbnb still shows the nights open after that, Daybook says so under Needs you, with the nights to block.
