Read your Today panel each morning
What each part of the page means and what to do about it.
Why this mattersThe Today panel is the page you open each morning. It answers two questions: do I need to do anything today, and has anything changed since I last looked? Reading it the same way each day is what lets you stop checking every app.
From the top
- The answer. Under Today and the date, and Are we OK?:
- You're all set. means nothing needs you.
- One arrival today. says who is arriving, and when.
- 2 things need you today. counts the lines under Needs you.
- Nothing needs you that Daybook can see., in amber, means a calendar couldn't be read, so the page may not be the whole picture.
- The proof. Under the answer: Calendars checked 8 minutes ago, with the real time.
- Today. Who leaves and who arrives, with the times and your cleaner's state. Tap a row to open the booking.
- Needs you. Tap a row to see why it's there and the button that deals with it: Open Airbnb, Send, Open the book, Remove the block, Change to £45. When it's dealt with, tick it: I've checked Airbnb ✓ or ✓ done.
- Since you last looked. New bookings and cancellations since your last look on any of your devices, or Nothing's changed since and the time.
- Reminders, Setup and Watching. On a phone each is one line. Tap to open.
Why this mattersThe answer is a count of Needs you, so if it says you're all set and something looks wrong, tell Daybook.
If something looks wrong
Tap not right? under the answer, pick Wrong, Out of date, Already sorted or Missing something, add a few words if you like, and tap Tell Daybook. It is recorded for the person who builds Daybook to look at.
On a laptop
The lines under Needs you open by default, and Look ahead shows the coming days beside today.
See your own morning in Daybook. You don't need a card.
