Daybook
Cleaners and changeovers

Your cleaner hears about every booking, from you

Daybook writes the message for your cleaner. You send it from your own phone. Then Daybook keeps a plain record of who knows what, so you don't have to scroll back through WhatsApp to check.

How it works

A new booking, start to finish

Nothing goes to your cleaner unless you send it. Daybook has no way to message anyone on its own.

  1. A booking comes in

Daybook sees it on your calendar or in a booking email you forwarded, and it shows under Since you last looked with Tell Jo beside it.

  2. Daybook writes the message

The place, the day, the time the guests leave, and a link to Jo's own page where they can confirm.

  3. You send it

Tap it and the message opens in WhatsApp, or as a text, ready to send from your phone. If you'd rather paste it yourself, Daybook can give you the words instead.

  4. Jo confirms

Jo taps Confirm job on their own page, and your board says Jo knows. Daybook can't read your WhatsApp, so a YES there doesn't change the board on its own.

In plain words

Three states, and no guessing

Daybook only says your cleaner knows when they have told you so.

  • Message prepared for Jo

You opened the message to send it. For twenty minutes you can undo that, in case you didn't send it after all.

  • Sent to Jo, no reply yet

You sent it and Jo hasn't answered yet.

  • Jo knows

Jo confirmed the clean on their own page.

For the weeks ahead

The Changeover Book and your cleaner's schedule

  • The Changeover Book

Every checkout and arrival for the next three months, place by place, with the same-day changeovers marked and whether each clean is confirmed.

  • Two weeks in one message

WhatsApp the next two weeks to Jo writes the whole fortnight in one message, with same-day changeovers marked, for you to send. Share sends it to a group chat instead.

  • When the schedule changes

If cleans are added or no longer needed after you sent the schedule, Needs you says so and Daybook writes the update for you to send.

  • Your cleaner's own page

The link in each message opens Jo's page: every clean coming up at your places, with your notes for each place and a Confirm job button. It shows no guest names, codes or prices. There is no app and no password, and Jo can add the cleans to their phone's calendar.

  • Different cleaners for different places

Each place has its own cleaner, and each cleaner only hears about the places they clean.

  • If your agency does the cleaning

Tell Daybook when you set up, and it keeps the changeovers on your board without asking you to message anyone.

Questions

About cleaners

Does Daybook message my cleaner?

No. It writes the message and you send it from your own phone, so it always comes from you and you can change it first.

Does my cleaner need an app or an account?

No. They get your message as usual, and a link to their schedule page that opens in their browser.

What if they don't reply?

The clean stays marked as not confirmed, on the board and in the Changeover Book, until they do.

My cleaner prefers texts.

Choose Text message when you add them, and the message opens as a text instead of in WhatsApp.

Try it on your own places
