Why this mattersCalendars say when; the confirmation emails carry who's coming and what they paid. A forwarded email often puts a booking on your board before any calendar shows it.
What you need
Booking confirmation emails from Airbnb, Vrbo or Booking.com, in the email account you sign in to Daybook with.
Steps
- Find the address. It is in@daybookforhosts.com. It is also on the last setup card, in Settings under Booking emails, and in the line on your Today panel.
- Forward a confirmation. On your phone, open an Airbnb, Vrbo or Booking.com booking confirmation and forward it to that address. Send it from the email address you sign in with: that is how Daybook knows it is yours.
- Or make it automatic. On a computer, most email programs let you set a rule that forwards new emails from a sender. Point it at in@daybookforhosts.com for your booking confirmations.
- Check it worked. The line on your Today panel changes to Booking emails checked with the time, and Your last forward arrived with the date.
- Look at the stay. Open that booking on the calendar. It says · from your confirmation email, with the guest's name and the money filled in.
If you take Booking.com bookings
A Booking.com email carries the guest's price, not what you'll be paid. Tell Daybook once: Settings, tap your place, then under So your figures are true choose How Booking.com pays you and tap Save changes.
Why this mattersWithout that answer, Daybook doesn't count Booking.com guest prices as money, so Numbers would leave those stays out.
What Daybook reads
Airbnb confirmations, changes, cancellations and requests to book, and Vrbo and Booking.com confirmations, changes and cancellations. A cancellation removes the stay. Emails from a letting agency can't be read yet; for an agency's bookings, connect the agency's calendar link instead.
